Videos that Inspire Action

The Ottawa Mission has been a cornerstone of the community since 1906, providing more than just shelter, they offer 18 essential programs and services including healthcare, housing support, hospice care, and employment training. For over six years, we’ve partnered with their team to create video content that builds public understanding, fosters emotional connection, and drives meaningful support.

Video plays a vital role in their communication strategy, from awareness-building on social platforms to fundraising campaigns broadcast on CTV. These stories highlight the Mission’s long-term impact on people’s lives. As part of a well-established fundraising and development strategy, video has become a key tool in connecting with the public and prompting action, including measurable donation spikes during campaigns like Giving Tuesday.

Our Creative Approach

Each year, we work closely with The Ottawa Mission to produce a mix of content tailored to different needs, from annual impact report videos to emotionally-driven donor appeals. Our approach combines live-action interviews, motion graphics, and documentary-style storytelling to make complex issues accessible and relatable.

By focusing on real stories from real people, we help the Mission show not only what they do, but why it matters. This collaborative process has been shaped by trust, consistency, and a deep understanding of their audience. With creative support already built into their fiscal calendar, we continue to play a strategic role, stepping in where extra content is needed and evolving the work alongside their goals.
