The Challenge

With the rebrand, WattIQ needed more than a new logo, they needed a way to reintroduce themselves to the market with clarity, consistency, and creativity. Their goals were twofold: build brand awareness through thoughtful storytelling and visual identity, and educate a technical audience about a product that can be difficult to explain.

We stepped in as a true creative partner, developing not only video, but marketing materials, illustrations, and branded content. Through a retainer-based model, we were able to work as an embedded extension of the WattIQ team, helping guide everything from high-level brand vision to day-to-day design and rollout.

Our Approach: Feel the Pulse

In early discovery sessions, we noticed the WattIQ team often compared a device’s energy usage to a human heartbeat — a signal of activity and health. That metaphor became the foundation of our creative strategy. We used it to anchor the brand story and to inform a visual identity that felt fresh, modern, and intuitive.

We designed a clean, minimal look using abstract shapes, crisp white space, and a vibrant green palette to maintain brand continuity while signaling innovation. Stylized characters added warmth and relatability, helping humanize the brand across web, social, and print. From video graphics to keycards, every touchpoint reflected a cohesive, systematized identity.

Leveraging Video to Build Brand and Educate

Video became a core part of WattIQ’s rebrand strategy. We produced four videos — a brand video, an explainer, and two product-specific pieces — each tailored to key moments in the customer journey.

The brand video told the story of WattIQ’s mission, reinforcing the new identity and offering a deeper emotional connection to its vision and values. It served as a powerful tool during the rebrand launch, giving customers a clear understanding of who WattIQ is and why it matters.

The product videos shifted focus to functionality — helping potential customers understand how WattIQ works and the benefits of implementation. These pieces emphasized clarity over complexity and helped drive better product understanding at the top of the funnel.

The explainer video zeroed in on sustainability and WattIQ’s role in driving operational efficiency. Using a ripple effect as a visual device, we illustrated how small improvements in power monitoring can create wide-reaching impact across energy usage, costs, and asset optimization.
